Walnut Lodge Renovation Project – We need your help!

As our 50th year anniversary ends and a new year begins, the Inspiration Hills administration is faced with the question, how do we continue to grow our ministry and change as many lives for Christ as possible? After careful consideration and prayer, we’ve decided to expand the ministry by continuing to breathe new life into our existing buildings and grounds so that we can meet the needs of a larger number of people. Walnut Lodge has been uninhabitable for the last seven years, and God has laid on our hearts that now is the time to put the building to good use. With our summer camp and retreat numbers growing, we have already added to the camp staff to make sure we are always able to minister to the needs of our guests, now we need additional housing.

Stripped down to the studs, Walnut represents the ministry potential that we have planned for the future. The renovations will create apartment style housing with unlimited uses including space for smaller retreat groups and families, housing for retreat leadership, and space for hosting pastoral retreats. It will also, at long last, give us the opportunity to invite BVS volunteers to Inspiration Hills and other district ministries or hire full-time staff that needs housing on-site.

Rebuilt, Walnut will reflect our district’s continued commitment to ministry and leadership development. We know that God is asking us to take this step in stewardship to renovate and renew our historic buildings. Together, we can take this step while remaining financially solvent. We need to raise $150,000 to complete the intended renovations to Walnut Lodge. We want to thank our district for their continued support and ask that you prayerfully consider what you can do to help out.
