A Freezer Full Of Meat
Our sincere thanks to the Paris & Washington Insurance Company of Minerva, Ohio, for their donation that filled our large chest freezer with ground beef, hamburger patties, hotdogs, bacon and breakfast sausage! Every summer this company spends endless hours at local fairs and use their resources to purchase animals raised by 4-H and FFA participants and then directly distribute hundreds of pounds of meat to countless organizations and charities.
Kelly Palmer who manages Paris and Washington is the son of Carl and Ruth Ann Palmer of the Freeburg COB. Kelly’s wife Martha, who is also very active in the company, is the daughter of Howard and Ruth Ann Dickerhoof (Freeburg) and niece to the late Ervin and Edna Martin and Ray and Esther Doerschuk; all of these great people have been very active in the life of the camp and we are deeply thankful for their generous gifts.
Waste Water Treatment Plant
We also want to thank Brian Horst of the Mohican COB for being a year round volunteer who monitors our waste water treatment plant. This is a daily task that Brian does no matter what the weather, and usually before anyone else is awake. When you see him, thank him; the camp has been able to save thousands of dollars a year because of his generosity!
We would like to thank all of the volunteers that assisted with our Winter Camps this year! Please give a special thanks to the folks from DuPont, Mohican, and Zion Hill for their willingness to help our summer staff, we appreciate you!
