Got Fruit? Living a Spirit-filled Life
This summer’s curriculum is all about the Fruit of the Spirit. We’ll be learning what the fruit of the spirit IS, how to nurture the Fruit of the Spirit in our own lives, how to spot it in ourselves and others, and importantly, how to share it with the world. Age-appropriate activities will reinforce the lessons we learn each day so that campers go home with a true understanding of the Fruit of the Spirit and new spiritual practices that help them continue to develop their fruit at home. Below is a breakdown of how we’ll learn about the Fruit:
Day 1: Gathering Fruit – Galatians 5:16-26
Day 2: Love and Joy – Luke 15: 3-7 (parable of the lost sheep)
Day 3: Peace – Matthew 8: 23-27
(Jesus calms the storm)
Day 4: Patience and Kindness –
1 Kings 17: 8-16 (Elijah and the widow)
Day 5: Goodness and Faithfulness –
Mark 12: 38-44 (the widow’s coin)
Day 6: Gentleness and Self-Control –
1 Samuel 24 (David and Saul)
Day 7: Sharing Fruit – Galatians 5:16-26
